I’ll guide each guest through their few minutes, distract them just enough to forget they’re being photographed, and catch the actually great moments in between.

By the end, people are saying “that wasn’t so bad” and asking - when we can do it again?

This is real, natural, and low-pressure—just you, being yourself, in a setting that feels relaxed.

No backdrops. No blinding lights. No stiff posing.

No one shows up to this thing knowing their angles or practicing poses in the mirror (okay, maybe one person—but we love them too).

They don’t have to love the camera. They just have to show up.

And more often than not, they walk away saying it was still a little awkward… but also kind of fun.

Pretty much, yep.

Living room? Yep. Office? Yep. Backyard? You bet.

If there’s good natural light and space to chill while I photograph each guest, we’re good to go.

Bonus tip: If you're hosting an outdoor event, it’s super helpful to have a backup indoor space -just in case- the weather decides not to cooperate. It doesn’t have to be fancy—just covered, calm, and well-lit is perfect.

You’ll need at least 5 paying guests (not including you). Once 5 people book, your session is free! Want to invite more? Go for it—I’ll just schedule a little more time.

I can photograph up to 8 people per hour—each session is about 5 minutes.

Have more than 8 guests? No problem! We’ll just add 15–30 minutes, depending on total number of guests, to keep things smooth and un-rushed.

Snacks are not technically required… but also, yes.

Have snacks. People take better photos when they’ve had a cracker or two—it’s science.

Each guest gets 5 minutes in front of the camera, and the whole thing usually takes 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on how many people join.

Heads up: I’ll plan to arrive about 30 minutes after your official start time—that gives everyone time to show up, say hi, grab a snack, and settle in before we start shooting.

Nope! That’s the beauty of it.

As the host, you set the vibe - You can keep it classic with work headshots, sure…

or you can host a theme that fits your people:

• A back-to-school hang for your kids + their friends to get fun and natural school photos

• A “better-than-my-iPhone” photo day for your mom crew

• A self-love session for your book club, group chat, or neighborhood crew

• A treat-yourself update for your social media or dating profile

• Or just a reason to get together, feel cute, and leave with a photo you actually like

Basically: if you can gather a few people who want good photos without the pressure - you can throw a Headshot Party!

It’s Pay What You Want—really.

People usually give $35–$75—because as much as I love a good time, exposure doesn’t pay my mortgage.

No need to handle money—everyone books + pays through their own link. And if someone wants to throw in a little extra? I’ll consider naming my next plant after them.

Each guest gets:

✔️ A 5-minute individual photo session ✔️ 2 edited high-resolution images, handpicked by me (no decision paralysis required) ✔️ A new go-to headshot that doesn’t involve cropping someone else out of the frame ✔️ A moment of “wait… do I look kind of amazing?”

No galleries. No upsells. Just show up, get a couple of great shots, and enjoy the “dang, you look good!” comments that follow.

Honestly? I’d love to avoid reschedules just as much as you.

That’s why it’s super helpful to have a dedicated indoor spot near a window ready to go—something simple like a living room corner with great natural light can totally save the day.

If it’s really not working (think sideways rain or a tornado warning), we’ll pick a new date. But a solid indoor backup means we almost never have to.

Truly? Not much.

Pick a date. Invite your people. Clear one decent-looking corner of your home.

Snacks? Optional… but if there’s a charcuterie board, I’ll probably take a photo of it before I take photos of your guests. Vibes? Optional—but if there’s wine and a good playlist, I might forget I’m here to work and end up in your group selfie. Effort? Minimal.
